MB6MR - TETRA Gateway, Montrose, Angus
MR6MR is a TETRA gateway linked to other gateways and repeaters using SVXlink. The coverage of the gateway's transmit is across most of Montrose and the receive with a 1.5W handheld is most of the town along the high street (more areas to be tested soon). The hardware is based around a Motorola MTM5400 running at 5W and connected through a x86 thin client using a serial interface for PEI data and a R1-2020 soundcard to handle the audio.
